In this five-day immersive photography workshop, you will learn how to create images through proven techniques for creatively telling stories using photography tips, concepts and the building blocks of visual design from two master photography teachers.
From harbor towns and lighthouses to sandy beaches, lagoons, sea caves and old-growth forests, the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior offer endless photographic opportunities. HOW THE WORKSHOP IS RUN:
The workshop format and teaching style is “Inform, Practice, Feedback”. This is a true photography workshop, not just a photo tour. The instructors will be working with you throughout the workshop to help you improve your photography skills. They will provide you with as much, or as little, coaching as you desire. Their thoughtful, gentle coaching style will encourage you to take your photography to the next level regardless of your starting point. All feedback sessions will include every participant and the feedback, like the teaching, is constructive, instructive and inspiring.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This workshop is designed to accommodate all levels of photographic experience. It is important, however, that participants be familiar with their equipment and its operation. Please note: This workshop is held rain or shine so participants should be prepared to shoot in all types of weather conditions.
DRESS and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Dress: Weather can be quite unpredictable, so come prepared for all combinations and please check the forecast and plan accordingly. Physical requirements: Appropriate for people in good health and moderate to good shape. Minimal hiking and walking.
TRANSPORTATION, LODGING and MEALS:
